My Services

Get a truly personalized experience with Dr Laird’s PT. Whether you prefer to have Laird come to you or come to Laird’s “PT cottage”, this package is designed to give you 5 personalized sessions that will not only help you recover from injury and pain, but acquire the tools to maintain your improvements and to greatly reduce your risk of re-injury.

Our Approach to Back Pain Therapy

‍Each session is focused on a specific aspect of your physical health, and recovery but prioritizing the areas most out of balance. The initial session will include a full body examination to identify imbalances and impairments. The next three sessions will focus on foundational principles of strength, flexibility, and recovery tailored to your goals. The final session will be a reassesment and discussion of where to go from here.

Patients will be expected to actively participate in a home exercise program that is realistic, progressive, and goal oriented. The fifth visit will serve as a reassessment and determine if goals have been met, and collaborate on how to proceed next

A comprehensive evaluation of your entire body, with a special focus on pain points. You’ll leave with exercises designed to address your specific needs.

Dive into the foundations of strength training and review exercises targeted to your pain points, helping you move towards a stronger, pain-free body.

Flexibility

Flexibility & Joint Mobility

Learn about flexibility and mobility principles. We’ll focus on stretches and movements designed to improve joint function and relieve tension.

Recovery & Relaxation Techniques

Discover recovery strategies, from soft tissue work to vagus nerve stimulation. This session will teach you how to relax, recover, and promote healing.

Recap & Reassessment

Our final session will revisit your progress, reassessing pain points and mobility. Together, we’ll evaluate your improvements and create a sustainable plan moving forward.

About Me

I am a passionate and skilled physical therapist who believes that in order to achieve optimal health, the entire body and mind must be addressed, and not just the parts that are hurting. I believe in the value of all healing sciences that my patients value, because I believe in hope. I strongly believe that the brain and spirit leads the body, and I pride myself in my ability to educate and empower people to take control of their own situation and well being, When belief and motivation combine with expert advice and manual skills, amazing things can happen. I have worked in home health, small private practice settings, and even large hospitals. Unfortunately, quality of care is often lost in all of these settings because they are beholden to the rules and compensations set by insurance companies, which can lead to both under and over providing of services. The reason I chose to start my own practice is so that I can use my own clinical judgement, experience, and intuition to determine what the person before me needs to live a better life. You will never hear from me that I can’t treat your shoulder because you are here for your back pain. Rather, you will learn from me how most injuries (especially chronic) are interrelated, and how helping one can help the other. When one can make connections between how we feel, think, and move, greater potential for recovery is unlocked.
